Аннотация: Исследование посвящено анализу становления школьной дисциплины «Моральное воспитание». В отечественных трудах японская система образования традиционно изучается как комплексный феномен, в котором моральному воспитанию редко уделяется специальное внимание. Целью представленного исследования является ликвидация обозначенной лакуны в Показать полностьюизучении системы морального воспитания Японии. Методологическую основу работы составляют анализ нормативных документов (законы, указы, учебные программы) и учебных материалов. Кроме того, изучены труды японских исследователей, посвященные истории морального воспитания в Японии и осмыслению его роли в педагогическом и воспитательном процессе. Выявлены основные этапы становления дисциплины «Моральное воспитание» как системы воспроизводства и трансляции нравственных установок и культурных доминант японского социума. Обозначена нормативно-правовая база дисциплины и органы, регулирующие ее реализацию. Результаты исследования показывают, что дисциплина «Моральное воспитание» служила инструментом государственной политики, адаптируясь к вызовам эпохи: от воспитания лояльных подданных до формирования «граждан мира» в XXI в. This research was granted by the Japan Foundation («Japanese Studies Fellowship Program» RJS- FW 2024) and conducted at the Faculty of Education, Hiroshima University. Project title: “Study of the ‘Moral Education' Course in Japan”. The study examines the development of a school subject “Moral Education”, which holds a special place in the educational process and the transmission of moral values to younger generations. In Russian academic works, the Japanese education system has traditionally been studied as a comprehensive phenomenon, with moral education rarely receiving specialized attention. The aim of this research is to address this gap by providing a thorough analysis of the evolution of moral education in Japan within a broad historical and sociocultural context. The methodological framework is based on the analysis of normative documents (laws, decrees, curricula) and educational materials. Additionally, the study examines works by Japanese scholars on the history of moral education in Japan and its role in pedagogical and upbringing processes. The key stages in the development of “Moral Education” as a system for reproducing and transmitting moral principles and cultural dominants of Japanese society are identified. The legal and regulatory foundation of the subject, as well as the institutions over- seeing its implementation, are outlined. The findings demonstrate that “Moral Education” has served as an instrument of state policy, adapting to the challenges of different eras - from cultivating loyal imperial subjects to shaping “global citizens” in the 21st century.
